Obituary for Albert C. Lucas Jr. Albert C. Lucas Jr., 90, of Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana. He was born in 1921 to Albert C. Lucas Sr. and Ruth M. (Rice) Lucas in Wilmington , DE. Albert was a member of Church of the Saviour, Wayne, and attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana. He graduated from Penn State University in 1943 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Albert was a member of the AIEE, American Institute of Electrical Engineers. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy. He resided in Berwyn for 45 years and retired from Philadelphia Electric Company before moving to Indiana in 2001. Albert enjoyed latch hooking, gardening, crafts, jigsaw puzzles and playing Sudoku. He is survived by two daughters and a son, Wayne S. Lucas and wife Patty, Philadelphia; Mila Simpson and husband Bill, Indiana; Gail Rohland and husband Ray, Winfield; seven grandchildren, David Simpson, Amanda Rohland, Lauren Lucas, Matthew Rohland, Daniel Simpson, Rebekah Rohland, Elizabeth Rohland, a great granddaughter Ryan, two nieces Cynthia and Kathryn and a nephew Raymond. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lois W. Lucas on April 1, 2011, a brother Landis T. Lucas and a nephew Lee Lucas. Friends will be received from 2:00 PM until time of services at 4:00 PM Friday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Graveside services will take place at 1:00PM, Monday, at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia.
