Aaron Jack Thompson's Obituary

Aaron Jack Thompson, age 23, of Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2015 in Lancaster, PA, while attending school as a full-time student. He was born in November of 1991 in Indiana, to John and Bertilla Corte Thompson. Aaron was enrolled as a junior at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design majoring in graphic communication and design. He was a recent graduate of Westmoreland County Community College where he was an outstanding student frequently making the Dean's List and President's List. Before graduating, he designed and was instrumental in the printing and installation of a wall mural in the school's computer lab. He was very proud of this accomplishment and received accolades from many of his instructors and the president of the college. Aaron was a compassionate, caring young man who loved his family and was always available to help others in need. He was an excellent artist, and enjoyed music, kayaking, and hockey. He often went fly fishing with his Dad and brother Adam including a trip to Wyoming. He usually caught the most fish. Aaron had many friends and made friends easily because of his easy-going and open manner. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him and knew him. He is survived by his parents of Indiana; a brother - Adam and wife Leanne, McCandless Twp., and their seven month old son Jack Poper Thompson; maternal grandparents - Albert and Louise Corte, Indiana; his aunt - Anita Schrader, Bear, DE; his uncle - Alex Schrader, Newark, DE; and cousin Nicholas Schrader, Newark, DE. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John (Jack) and Mary Coy Thompson. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 A.M. at the Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Hurley officiating. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church Youth Program, 640 Church St., Indiana, PA.
